Job Context:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide advice to HoCO and Management team on country overall health situation which will help both in program design and business continuity.
∎ Develop strategies and health program initiatives in collaboration with BDRCS, partner national societies (PNSs), Government and other stakeholders. Performs health needs assessments and identifies risk factors to develop health care plan.
∎ Provide technical advice related to IFRC wide staff health management.
∎ To work in close collaboration with other programmes within the National Society and with Partner National Societies to ensure programme implementation is done in an integrated manner.
∎ Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility and provide input for developing plan of action along with budget.
∎ Ensure that project implementation is efficient, effective and done according to prescribed approaches, and provide with suggestions about implementation fine tuning within the targeted areas.
∎ Ensure that all clinical services delivered by BDRCS Health facilities (including Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital) are conducted in accordance with national and/or international clinical guidelines and guidelines in a humanitarian setting.
∎ Ensure IPC practices are in place and all staff members of BDRCS Health facilities are well oriented and trained
∎ Supervise any structural changes required for BDRCS Hospital and clinics, including supporting procurement of drugs and equipment
∎ Provides technical/managerial guidance which would also include training and orientation to the BDRCS health facilities workforce, in cooperation with his/her national counterparts where applicable
∎ Work closely with the Community Engagement and Accountability (CEA) team to ensure clear messaging and accessible feedback mechanisms
∎ Work closely with RCRC sectors and partners to ensure minimum standards in Protection, gender and Inclusion are met from all BDRCS health facilities and services
∎ Maintain good coordination and communication among BDRCS, partner national societies, government and other stakeholders for all matters related to clinical support and quality assurance.
∎ Ensure and maintain databases of the clinical activities of BDRCS hospital and health facilities.
∎ Ensure all BDRCS health facilities are providing operational report and EWARS report to Ministry of health as well as WHO.
∎ Prepare and assist BDRCS Health team and PMER teams to prepare Operation reports and disease trending report
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 10 years of prior professional experience in managing and coordinating health operations.
∎ Preferred Experience within the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement Experience working in complex environments. Comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment.
∎ Preferred Excellent professional communications skills, both verbal and written in both English and Bangla.
∎ Strong organizational skills, methodological and logical approach to tasks and problem solving.
∎ Ability to provide mentoring and coaching support to medical teams particularly to improve the quality of care from health facilities.
∎ Ability to develop Infection Prevention and Control tools and to conduct monitoring and field support visits to ensure IPC in all BDRCS Health facilities
