Job Responsibilities:
∎ Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of materials used in the business
∎ Maintaining relationship with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors
∎ Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries
∎ Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production
∎ Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement
∎ Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of production shortages
∎ Supervising a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary
∎ Working closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable
∎ Preparing purchase order based on actual requirements and planning & utilize the goods as production basis
∎ Ensure smooth delivery of goods and services within lead time
∎ Estimate cost parameters and confirm the budget before purchase
∎ Monitor the whole process to make the goal in-house on time in response with buyer shipment date
∎ Liaison with Accounts & Finance department for timely payment of bills to suppliers (Overseas & Local) by TT, LC cheque Post Payment, Fund Transfer
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 35 years
∎ Must have Knowledge about local market and purchase for footwear business
∎ Strong communication skills with suppliers & other stakeholders
∎ Good communications skills with computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel and internet browsing and email)
∎ Well-organized and co-operative
∎ Energetic and enthusiastic
∎ Self-motivated and committed
∎ Honest and sincere
∎ Ability to handle pressure and meet the deadline
Salary: Negotiable
