Responsibilities & Context
Sales & Business Development Manager
· Develop new business opportunities with power plants across Bangladesh.
· Regularly visit government, semi-government and private power plants.
· Build relationships with Plant Managers, Engineers, Maintenance, Procurement and Store Departments.
· Identify upcoming maintenance, overhaul and shutdown requirements.
· Promote and secure orders for power plant machinery and equipment spare parts.
* Follow up on enquiries, quotations, purchase orders and deliveries. Candidate Requirements:
Education
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or a related discipline.
· Technical qualifications or relevant power-sector experience will be preferred.
Experience
· Preferably 1–3 years of experience in sales/business development in power generation, industrial machinery, marine, engineering or spare parts.
· Experience dealing with government organizations, power plants, IPPs and procurement/tender departments is an advantage.
· Established contacts within Bangladesh's power-generation sector will be highly preferred.
4. Important Requirement
This is primarily a field-based sales and business-development position, requiring frequent visits to power plants and direct interaction with engineers, plant management, procurement personnel and key decision-makers.
Additional Preference:
Candidates with their own transport and willingness to travel extensively across Bangladesh will be preferred.
