Job Context:
∎ Our overseas treaty reinsurers have recently made `conducting of risks survey` a necessity. As a professional insurance company, we have the blueprint for setting up of a dedicated `Risk Inspection Department` for smooth reinsurance placement of each and every re-insurable risk in our book of business.
∎ The incumbent Risk Engineer will act as a key person in the `Risk Inspection Department of the company. S/he will carry out the risks survey and do recommendation for improvement of the risks, also monitor the insured`s execution/performance of the recommendations.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conducting physical risks inspections as required by the reinsuring underwriting manager to get the through understanding of the segregation of risks for reinsurance purposes.
∎ Preparing inspection reports as per standard format and best practices.
∎ Carrying out the physical risks survey and do recommendation for improvement of the risks.
∎ Monitoring the insured's execution/performance of the recommendations.
∎ Co-operating external surveyors in loss adjustment as and when required
∎ Maintaining liaison with the particular insureds and surveyors
∎ Participating in the workshops/training relating to risks survey
∎ Complying to company's Underwriting, Claims & Reinsurance manual
∎ Taking professional counsel on insurance & reinsurance from management
∎ Leading the risk inspection department of the company.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 30 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Preference will be given to candidates having professional qualifications in insurance
∎ Ability to Work Under Pressure
∎ Critical Thinking
∎ Must have good oral and written communication skill in English
∎ Teamplayer
Salary: Negotiable
