Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Department: Department: Department of Medicine. Applications are invited on an urgent basis for this position in BBMH, USTC on the following terms and conditions:
∎ ·         Ensure proper academic calendar of MBBS student.
∎ ·         Conduct comprehensive medical assessments and examinations of patients presenting with various medical conditions.
∎ ·         Diagnose illnesses, develop treatment plans, and prescribe medications in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
∎ ·         Monitor the progress of patients under your care, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide appropriate follow-up care.
∎ ·         Perform medical procedures and interventions as required, including but not limited to injections, wound care, and minor surgical procedures.
∎ ·         Admit patients to the hospital and coordinate their care throughout their hospital stay.
∎ ·         Participate in daily rounds with the medical team to discuss patient progress, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
∎ ·         Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate interventions to stabilize patients as needed.
∎ ·         Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, therapists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
∎ ·         Consult with specialists and other healthcare providers as necessary to obtain input on complex cases or specialized treatment options.
∎ ·         Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers to facilitate informed decision-making and ensure continuity of care across different healthcare settings.
∎ ·         Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients under your care, including progress notes, treatment plans, and diagnostic test results.
∎ ·         Ensure compliance with documentation standards, regulatory requirements, and patient confidentiality guidelines.·         Review and sign off on orders, prescriptions, and other medical documents in a timely manner.
∎ ·         Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety, clinical outcomes, and overall healthcare delivery within the department.
∎ ·         Stay abreast of developments in the field of medicine through ongoing education, training, and participation in professional conferences and workshops.
∎ ·         Engage in peer review, case presentations, and other activities to promote clinical excellence and knowledge sharing among colleagues.
∎ ·         Participate in academic activities.
∎ ·         Carry out tasks assigned by the competent authority.
