We manufacture and export jute products to high-value, quality-conscious international customers. Therefore, maintaining consistent product quality, meeting customer specifications, and ensuring international quality standards are critical to our operations.

We are looking for a competent and quality-focused Quality Control Officer to ensure and continuously improve the quality of our raw materials, production processes, and finished products.

Job Responsibilities

• Raw Material Inspection: Inspect incoming raw jute fibers to ensure they meet the grade, moisture content, and quality requirements.

• Process Monitoring: Supervise and monitor different stages of jute processing (batching, preparing, spinning, weaving, and finishing) to maintain consistent quality.

• Laboratory Testing: Conduct routine lab tests (such as moisture test, tensile strength, yarn count, and twist) and maintain accurate test logs.

• Defect Identification: Identify production defects, deviations, or contamination in jute yarn, twine, sacking, or hessian cloth, and take immediate corrective actions.

• Compliance Standards: Ensure all finished products strictly comply with national and international quality standards (such as ISO, BSTI, or specific buyer requirements).

• Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly quality control reports, rejection logs, and inspection certificates.

• Wastage Reduction: Minimize production wastage and optimize efficiency by analyzing quality-related issues and suggesting process improvements.

• Team Coordination: Collaborate with the production floor managers, supervisors, and floor workers to implement quality management policies.

• Equipment Calibration: Ensure all laboratory and measuring instruments are properly calibrated, maintained, and clean.

Educational Requirements

• Education: B.Sc. in Textile Engineering / Jute Technology / Chemistry or a related discipline from a reputed/recognized university.

• Preference: Candidates with an academic background in Jute and Allied Fiber Process Engineering will be given preference.

• Candidates having a strong academic or practical background in jute fibre, yarn, spinning, weaving, textile testing, or quality control will be highly preferred.

Experience Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in Quality Control / Quality Assurance, preferably in a Jute Mill or related manufacturing industry.

• Candidates with hands-on experience in jute product inspection, laboratory testing, process quality control, defect analysis, or export-quality assurance will be preferred.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of jute fibre grading, preparation, spinning, yarn quality, weaving, and finished product inspection.

• Good understanding of quality testing methods and laboratory practices.

• Ability to identify defects and analyze their root causes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

• Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility for product quality.

• Ability to read and understand technical specifications and customer quality requirements.

• Good knowledge of quality documentation, reporting, and record keeping.

• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for quality data analysis and reporting.

• Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with Production and other departments.

Communication Requirements

• Good communication and reporting skills in both Bengali and English.

• Ability to communicate quality requirements effectively with production-floor personnel and management.

• Ability to prepare quality reports and communicate quality issues in English where required for international customers/management.

Additional Requirements

• Age: 25–35 years

• The candidate should be physically and mentally capable of working in a manufacturing/production environment and conducting regular production-floor inspections.

• Willingness to work closely with production team.

• Strong integrity, discipline, responsibility, and commitment to maintaining product quality.
