∎ NESL now invites applications from competent candidates for the post of QC Mechanical Technician for employment with one of our prospective clients working to set up a grid-tied solar power plant in Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Interpret and understand blueprints, schematics and other drawings to determine the specifications, and method and sequence of assembly of utility grade solar modules.
∎ Verify dimensions of parts, using precision measuring instruments, to ensure that specifications are met.
∎ Inspect parts for surface defects and test the performance of electro-mechanical assemblies.
∎ Observe installation and maintenance procedures to ensure that company standards are met.
∎ Conduct audits on quality control verification ensuring that all crews associated to scope are using current version of drawings to install.
∎ Schedule and conduct visual and physical examination of all mechanical components of the solar power plant.
∎ Work under the supervision of site manager/qc manager to provide immediate corrective actions for any common and accidental mechanical deficiencies.
∎ Work closely with construction team to ensure quality installation will be performed before any work begins.
∎ Hold preparatory meetings with construction crews on what to look out for during installation and how to prevent deficiencies involving each definable feature of work.
∎ Analyze root causes for mechanical deficiencies and ensure corrections have been made to areas listed as nonconforming.
∎ Inspect, repair or calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies, housings, fittings, and fixtures.
∎ Generate reports with pass/fail results associated with all mechanical installations and submit reports to the supervisor.
∎ Implement and utilize company’s quality control program and safety management system under the supervision of site/qc manager.
∎ Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar role in medium or large scale power generation projects; experience in solar QC will be advantageous.
∎ Good understanding of solar power generation system.
∎ Proven mechanical and electrical skills, and must be adept in operating machinery including all sorts of industrial tools.
∎ Physical fitness to work outdoors, perform in a fast paced environment and heavy lifting.

Salary: Negotiable
