∎ At least 10 years’ experience in the field of maternal, newborn and child health related program of Bangladesh and minimum 5 years working experience to coordinate and lead large scale public health program in management position.
∎ Sound knowledge on Health System of Bangladesh
∎ Demonstrated experience to work with senior level policy makers and donors on health program planning is essential.
∎ Proven competency to strategic coordination and collaboration with MOHFW, UN agencies, NGOs, Institutions and Development partners involved in maternal, newborn and child health programs.
∎ Proven experience in partner, budget, staff management
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bangla
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Package

∎ The Project Director (PD) is mainly responsible for providing strategic and technical guidance, and overall management of KOICA funded Strengthening the Maternal and Neonatal Health System in Rangpur, Bangladesh Project under the leadership of Director- Health and Nutrition. The incumbent also have management responsibilities which include but not limited to management of project budget, staff and partners (RDRS & ICDDR,B), prepare and timely submission of donor/organizational reports, adherence to SCI global initiatives like Common Approach, Safeguarding, gender equality and social inclusion etc. H/She will provide inputs to improve monitoring and evaluation, program learning and documentation. Also, support designing program-based research, and dissemination, sharing of key results, and learning at local, national and global levels. The incumbent will work as focal point for this project and maintain working relationships with national and divisional MOHFW (DGHS, and DGFP) and MOLGRD&C (DGLGD) authorities, and key stakeholders (e.g. UNICEF, WHO, UNFPA, OGSB, and BPA etc.), Development Partners, KOICA, SCK focal point/s, the private sector organizations and other stakeholders. S/he will provide technical inputs and advice in support of SC’s country objectives related to improving maternal and newborn health. The PD will participate in planning and monitoring, coordination and review meetings, and report on the progress of the project’s efforts. The hole holder will work in close collaboration with the Senior Technical Advisor-Health and Nutrition, and SCK secondees.
