Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with construction management experience.

Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct rapid need assessments for new construction and/or care and maintenance activities as deemed necessary by the authority.
∎ Make provisions for the installation of required services in any new camp or camp extension identified for the settlement of refugees and other persons of concern.
∎ Preparing technical specifications, BOQ and design/drawings after prioritizing needs, calculating material quantities and costs, design layouts, etc. as deemed necessary by the authority.
∎ Plan, implement and manage assigned tasks in accordance with related sector team priorities and goals.
∎ Understand and adhere to work plans, delivery plans, and labor management.
∎ Regular monitoring of existing facilities.
∎ Prepare technical reports on completion of the technical assessments in the field.
∎ Resolve any problems in the field in consultation with respective authority.
∎ Work in a multi-sectorial and coordinated approach in co-operation with counterpart/s, Governments, UN agencies, non-Governmental organizations (NGOs) and other humanitarian partners.
∎ Use community-based approaches for smooth implementation of construction activities.
∎ Perform any other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2-3 years of professional experience in construction and engineering.
∎ Experience of working with an NGO/INGO in camp settlement of Cox's Bazar and conduct monitoring, evaluation of shelter and WASH programming is an advantage.
∎ Proficiency in basic computer software such as MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and skilled in AutoCAD.
∎ Comprehensive knowledge and experience on QA, QC and construction operations, supervision and monitoring.
∎ Knowledge in PWD/LGED rate schedule is an added advantage. Ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge on local market rate analysis for construction materials to prepare BOQ.
∎ Knowledge in Shelter and Site Planning Technical Guidelines and Standards in camp settlement
∎ Proficiency in speaking and writing in English.
∎ Adhere to the 7 fundamental principles and values of Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

Salary:
∎ As per organization`s national pay scale policy in Bangladesh.
