We are seeking a dynamic individual to join us as the Programme Head under Climate and Environmental Innovation Programme. In this role you will apply strategic and technical leadership to BRAC’s Climate and Environmental Innovation Programme (CEIP) by driving the development, validation, scaling, and institutional integration of evidence-based climate and environmental solutions. You will lead CEIP’s innovation portfolio, strategic partnerships, knowledge and evidence generation, resource mobilisation, and technical teams to strengthen BRAC’s climate resilience and environmental impact, influence sectoral and policy discourse, and enable the sustainable adoption and scale-up of innovative solutions across BRAC programmes, enterprises, and external platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Programme Oversight:

  • Provide strategic and technical leadership to CEIP’s climate and environmental innovation portfolio, ensuring scientific rigor, programme quality, strategic alignment, scale, and measurable impact across the innovation cycle.

  • Guide the development and implementation of strategic priorities, approaches, and delivery models for CEIP’s climate and environmental interventions.

  • Provide overall oversight of CEIP’s technical teams and innovative interventions, ensuring effective coordination, delivery, performance, and alignment with organisational priorities.

Innovation, Scaling & Institutional Integration:

  • Lead the development, validation, transformation, and scaling of evidence-based and context specific solutions across climate adaptation and mitigation, climate-resilient agriculture, water security, environmental management, Nature-based Solutions (NbS), low-carbon technologies, waste management, and the circular economy.

  • Lead collaboration with BRAC programmes and enterprises, including MF, BRAC Enterprises,IDP, UPG, ICCP, Aarong, and other relevant platforms, to mainstream and scale proven climate and environmental solutions within existing programme and business models.

Strategic Partnerships & External Influence:

  • Build and lead strategic partnerships with government agencies, universities, research institutions, private sector actors, development partners, and national and international networks to strengthen BRAC’s technical leadership and influence in climate and environmental action.

  • Represent BRAC and position CEIP as a credible technical and thought leader through strategic engagement in national, regional, and international forums, platforms, and policy processes.

Evidence, Knowledge & Learning:

  • Lead the generation, validation, documentation, and dissemination of evidence, innovations, knowledge, and learning through technical forums, publications, policy engagement, and knowledge platforms to support replication, institutional agreement, and wider scaling.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of robust qualitative and quantitative monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks to assess the effectiveness, outcomes, scalability, and impact of CEIP’s interventions.

Resource Mobilisation & Programme Sustainability:

  • Lead the identification of emerging opportunities, development of innovative concepts, an engagement with potential partners and donors to strengthen CEIP’s programme portfolio and financial sustainability.

  • Identify opportunities for replication, institutional uptake, strategic partnerships, resource mobilisation, and wider scaling of proven BRAC solutions.

  • Contribute to the development of new funding and partnership models that support the long-term sustainability and expansion of CEIP’s climate and environmental initiatives.

People Leadership & Team Capability:

  • Provide strategic oversight of workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, succession planning, and capability development to ensure CEIP has the right talent, expertise, and leadership capacity to deliver its strategic priorities.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, a professional excellence, while strengthening team effectiveness and cross-functional collaboration.

Safeguarding responsibilities:

  • Establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme by implementing the safeguarding policy. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.

  • Responsible to ensure team members are appropriately trained, supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and implemented in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.

  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
