Job Responsibilities:
∎ Performs any electrical, electronic and instrument work regarding the diagnosis, installation, testing and repair of electronic and solid state concepts (including, but not limited to, computer interface equipment, transducers, AC VFD drive system, DC drives ,synchronous motor controls and programmable controllers, etc.) in order to achieve the assigned targets such as minimize plant downtime and increase the machines availability.
∎ Execute all scheduled (day-to-day, preventive) maintenance, corrective maintenance and major repairs of the equipment's in order to optimize production and minimize plant down time for maintenance related development works.
∎ Responsible for troubleshooting of breakdowns (electrical & electronics) in the extrusion lines, mixer section, crusher section, pipe fabrication machines and facilities.
∎ Troubleshooting of problems related to PLC, Drives, HMI, etc. in extruders, pullers, cutter, socketing, mixers and crushers.
∎ To communicate to superiors of any abnormalities found in the machines in order to rectify the same.
∎ Responsible to execute any project work related to new machine installation or technical upgradation.
∎ Make root cause analysis reports for PLC and drives failure.
∎ Perform the daily monitoring and maintenance activities of facility equipments.
∎ Submit daily reports to Maintenance Supervisor or Engineer.
∎ Ensuring any systems and SOP's implemented in the section are fully implemented and supported taking personal ownership of the process, procedure or system.
∎ Actively cooperate with the company on health and safety matters, ensuring all areas of responsibility are aligned with safety standards and comply with the company health and safety policy and procedures.
∎ Ensure safety workplace.
∎ Ensure staff within section are trained and competent in their role and in their ability to carry out required tasks.
∎ Collect, collate and analyze statistics/ information relating to machines and communicate these to supervisor or engineer in a timely manner as planned and agreed.
∎ Implement 5S and housekeeping in all areas of responsibility.
∎ To undertake any other tasks appropriate to the role within the company, as directed by management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 50 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ A strong knowledge of repair, overhaul and preventive maintenance of PVC and CPVC extruders (Krauss Maffei, Theysohn, Cincinnati, etc.) , haul off (IPM,SICA), cutter(IPM,SICA), socketing(IPM,SICA), PVC mixers (Plasmec, Promixon), mixer blenders(Jenco), crushers (Rapid, Herbold).
∎ Knowledge of all kinds of proximity sensors, switches, relays, thermocouples, etc.
∎ Knowledge of different contactor types and their operation.
∎ Experience in PLC programming related to extrusion lines, mixers and facilities.
∎ Hands on experience in preventive maintenance of different PLC's and drives.
∎ Familiar with SIEMENS, SCHNEIDER, ABB, ALLEN BRADLEY, VNR, etc. PLC's and Drives.
∎ Hands on experience in the replacement of PLC, Drives, HMI (Touchscreen) in extruders, pullers, cutter, socketing, mixers and crushers.
∎ Troubleshooting and repair of problems related to electrical controls, safety switches, limit switches, etc. in haul off, cutter and socketing unit.
∎ Able to understand mechanical and electrical drawings related to all machines.
∎ Good time management
∎ Ability to co-ordinate and manage others
∎ Ability to work under pressure and manage several tasks simultaneously
∎ Ability to make quick, clear decisions
∎ Ability to delegate where necessary
∎ A calm and patient manner
∎ Ability to train and develop others
∎ Flexible in work approach and work times
∎ Meticulous attention to detail
∎ Good standard of written and spoken English
∎ Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools
∎ A practical and logical approach to problem solving using problem solving technique.
