Educational Requirements:
∎ Minimum Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 4 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct routine analyses on water, fuel, lube oil effluent, and other process streams to ensure compliance with environmental standards and plant efficiency.
∎ Determination of chemical dosing rate based on test results to ensure OEM guidelines.
∎ Responsible for operation, monitoring, and optimization of water treatment processes to prevent scaling, corrosion, and fouling in the boiler and cooling systems.
∎ Responsible for operation of the effluent treatment plant and ensuring discharge water quality to comply with DOE effluent criteria.
∎ Collaborate with the operations team to develop and implement chemical treatment programs for the efficient operation of HFO power generation and cogeneration systems.
∎ Conduct regular inspections of chemical dosing systems, storage tanks, and related equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
∎ Maintain accurate records of chemical usage, inventory levels, and preparation of requisition for chemicals and consumables.
∎ Stay informed about industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to plant chemistry.
∎ Maintain equipment performance and up-to-date calibration records.
∎ Monitoring and analyzing all related data & and giving feedback to the upper management.
∎ Comply with all procedures and standards of operation and maintenance as well as follow ISO standards for Environment, Quality Management, and Occupational Health & Safety.
∎ Provide training and guidance to plant operators on chemical processes and safety protocols.
∎ Any Other task assigned by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ At least 02 years' Experience in relevant field.
∎ Experience as Plant Chemist Will be preferable.
∎ Strong understanding of chemical processes, water treatment, ETP, and environmental regulations.
∎ Familiarity with analytical instruments and laboratory techniques for chemical analysis.
∎ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
∎ Commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement.
∎ Pro-active, self-motivated, honest
∎ Able to work under pressure.
∎ Good communication skills.
