Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assessing and diagnosing patients (members/employees) based on their medical history, symptoms, and physical examination.
∎ Listening to patient concerns and providing appropriate medical advice and treatment options.
∎ Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (e.g. blood tests, imaging studies) to aid in diagnosis.
∎ Prescribing medications, therapies, and treatments.
∎ Developing and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
∎ Monitoring the progress of patients with chronic conditions or ongoing treatment plans.
∎ Adjusting treatment as necessary based on follow-up visits and patient feedback.
∎ Educating patients on their medical conditions, treatment options, lifestyle changes, and preventive measures.
∎ Answering patient queries and providing reassurance where needed.
∎ Referring patients to specialists for further investigations or treatment when required.
∎ Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient.
∎ Documenting all consultations, treatments, and follow-ups for legal and medical purposes.
∎ Collaborate with occupational health teams to assess workplace hazards and develop strategies for employee safety.
∎ Respond to medical emergencies, provide immediate care and coordinate with emergency medical services, if required.
∎ Diagnose and treat common ailments, such as respiratory infections, allergies, minor injuries and gastrointestinal disorders.
∎ Providing health education and counselling to employees on various topics, including nutrition, lifestyle modifications and stress management.
∎ Recognizing situations that require urgent attention and directing patients to the appropriate services.
∎ Monitor and manage chronic medical conditions, such as diabetes, hypertension and asthma, in collaboration with primary care providers.
∎ Providing preventive care such as vaccinations, screening tests, and advice on healthy lifestyle choices.
