Job Responsibilities:
∎ Verifies patient identification and explains sampling procedures to patients.
∎ Facilitate the collection, processing, handling, and shipping of urine and fluid specimens.
∎ Preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and performing screening procedures.
∎ Obtains blood specimens by proper procedure.
∎ Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic technique and following departmental procedures.
∎ Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standard procedures and complying with legal regulations.
∎ Maintains an organized and clean workspace.
∎ Follow policies and procedures to help correctly identify the patient's specimen through an accurate barcode.
∎ Follow policies and procedures to properly package and ship specimens to lab.
∎ Pick up, package, and ship specimens when needed.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 25 years
