Education: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy is mandatory (master's in pharmacy might get preferences) 

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in PHC or humanitarian settings.

  • Strong knowledge of drug safety and therapeutic use.

  • High accuracy in stock and data management.Clear communication skills in Bangla and working English.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and perform under pressure.Integrity, professionalism, adaptability, and commitment to humanitarian values.

  • Languages: Written and spoken languages: Bengali and English

IT Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office package

  • Proficiency in MS Office and EMR or IMS tools

  • Knowledge of Rational Use of Drugs (RUD) and using of EMR or IMS (Inventory Management system)



Responsibilities & Context:
1. Dispensing, Supervision & Patient Safety
  • Supervise and guide dispensers and pharmacy storekeepers on daily operations.

  • Dispense medicines strictly according to valid prescriptions and approved guidelines.

  • Counsel patients clearly on dosage, frequency, duration, and proper use of medicines.

  • Identify and prevent drug interactions, duplications, and dosing errors.

  • Educate patients on possible side effects and follow-up actions.

  • Promote rational use of medicines and discourage misuse.

2. Pharmacy Operations & Stock Management

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring cleanliness, order, and security.

  • Apply FIFO/FEFO principles consistently for medicines and supplies.

  • Monitor consumption trends for forecasting and procurement planning.

  • Prepare purchase request and share for validation

  • Coordinate with pharmacy staff to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.

  1. Expired Medicines Management

  • Regularly review stock to identify near-expiry and expired medicines.

  • Ensure proper segregation, labeling, documentation, and safe storage of expired items.

  • Manage disposal of expired medicines according to SOPs and standard regulations.

  • Maintain records and report expired medicine status as required.

4. EMR, Reporting & Coordination

  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry in the EMR dispenser module.

  • Cross-check prescriptions, dispensing records, and stock data for consistency.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly pharmacy reports.

  • Share early alerts on stock risks, safety concerns, or irrational prescribing.

  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other staff to support integrated care.

5. Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure compliance with Tdh policies, national guidelines, and ethical standards.

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct.

  • Participate in quality improvement and monitoring activities.
