Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Diagnosing Diseases: Analyzing tissues, cells, and body fluids to identify diseases, such as cancer, infections, and other medical conditions.
∎ Interpreting Lab Results: Interpreting results from various laboratory tests, including blood tests, biopsies, and other diagnostic tests.
∎ Collaborating with Clinicians: Working closely with other healthcare providers to discuss findings and provide diagnostic insights that guide treatment plans.
∎ Research and Development: Engaging in medical research to develop new diagnostic techniques and improve existing methods.
∎ Supervising Laboratory Staff: Overseeing the work of laboratory technicians and other support staff to ensure proper testing and analysis procedures are followed.
∎ Teaching and Training: Educating medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals about pathology and diagnostic techniques.
∎ Maintaining Records: Keeping detailed and accurate records of all examinations, tests, and diagnoses.
