∎ Five years of experience in working as a paramedic with a private clinic or hospital
∎ Able to speak in Feni local dialect/language
∎ Experience in working with NGO will be preferred.
∎ Ability to work with computers (MS Office, particularly Excel).
∎ Skills on writing reports and convincing messages to different patients.
∎ Ability to adapt to different work conditions and cope with basic living conditions
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The Paramedic will be responsible for taking care of the patients and providing support to Medical Officer for running the remote medical camp effectively.
∎ Responsible to register patients at triage point.
∎ Will identify 3 categories (mid, moderate, very sick).
∎ Responsible to measure the weight of each patient?
∎ Will measure BP of elderly patients (above 40 years of age).
∎ Responsible for identifying malnourished children using MUAC tape at the triage point.
∎ Will assist MO during consultation to keep records at patient register.
∎ Paramedics will assist MO during minor surgery and dressings.
∎ Will nebulise patients as per doctor’s prescription.
∎ Responsible to provide necessary injectable (I/M or I/V) medications.
∎ Paramedics will assist MO to prepare a daily tally of disease incidences.
∎ Will prepare daily patient flow records and reports.
∎ Responsible to conduct HE sessions at triage point.
∎ Paramedics will do counselling with mothers regarding psychosocial issues.
∎ Is responsible for providing counselling with mothers regarding FP methods
∎ Will talk with patients decently so that they feel comfortable and honoured.
∎ Paramedic will liaise with other staff for efficient work achievements of the team.

∎ Job Context:
∎ Bangladesh is currently facing a severe humanitarian crisis due to extensive flooding in its eastern and southeastern regions, caused by continuous heavy rainfall and huge water coming from upstream neighbouring India. The floods have impacted 3.6 million people across multiple districts. In Feni, nearly 95% of certain Upazilas were inundated. The flooding has severely disrupted essential services, cutting off roads, power supplies, and mobile networks, which has significantly complicated rescue and relief efforts. People in the eastern regions were not accustomed to dealing with floods and lacked experience in protecting themselves. Consequently, rescuing the residents of Feni became a significant challenge. They will now require ongoing health support for an extended period.

∎ This is a medical service project in a post-flood context with the affected people. It is a one-month mission. The medical camp will run six days in a week from Saturday to Thursday, 08.am to 5pm. The position will be Upazila based in Feni district. In the job, the employee of Pulse BD has to follow strongly safeguarding and PSEA policies and maintain humanitarian principals. This is a contractual job for a one-month contract.
