Educational Requirements:
∎ BSc/Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery Science with valid license having experience in Operation Theater (OT)
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Should have practical knowledge of OT Management & Operation;
∎ Assess patients prior to surgery (e.g. NPO status) and alleviate their concerns;
∎ Gather all supplies needed for the operation;
∎ Assume responsibility of keeping the operating room sterilized;
∎ Position and prepare patient on operating table;
∎ Monitor patient's vital signs to detect anomalies;
∎ Assist OB-GYN Specialist in obstetric operation (C/S, hysterectomy etc.);
∎ Managing OT Equipment's in OT room before, during & after the operation;
∎ Maintain & ensure all records, medicines & Plans in Operation Theater are written and up to date;
∎ Maintain Effective Infection Control Procedural Protocols that ensure patients and staff are not being exposed;
∎ Communicate with respective consultants, CMO, Coordinator and Manager about conditions of patients & any OT related complain of the patients or attendants.
