Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Nursing
∎ B.Sc (Nursing)/ Diploma in Nursing Science & Midwifery from BNC recognized institution
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 4 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To be well versed with all surgical procedures, equipment used in O.T & Pre-Post-operative management of patients in O.T
∎ Co-operate & co-ordinate with OT staff to ensure effective & efficient patient care delivery.
∎ To ensure proper Co-Ordination with other disciplines in case of shifting / transfer to wards / ICU's.
∎ Ensure noise and movements within the theatre are kept at minimum.
∎ To ensure the disinfection & fogging process is followed as per the protocol.
∎ All nursing staff to be thorough with gowning & gloving procedure
∎ All nursing staff a thorough knowledge of strict
∎ To ensure accurate Inventory & Stock Management.
∎ To ensure the consumables & sutures are available on time.
∎ To ensure timely indenting & frequently checking the requirements of the surgeons.
∎ Ensure every OT to be well staffed with one scrub nurse & one circulating nurse.
∎ Through surgical hand wash to be carried out by all working inside the OT.
∎ Circulating nurse to be responsible for checking all sponge counts, instruments, working of all biomedical equipment.
∎ Time in and time out to be maintained by the circulating nurse.
∎ Scrub nurse to assist the surgeon for the operative procedure.
∎ Before closing the incision a through count of all instruments and sponges to be done and documented.
∎ Scrub nurse to rinse all the instruments and send to CSSD.
∎ Circulating nurse to be responsible for preparation of next surgery.
∎ Monitoring and & close observation of patient in the recovery room.
∎ To have complete orientation of iHIS, ERP, QMS and OSL system of Hospital
∎ To have complete Awareness about Disaster Management Programme (DMP) of the hospital.
∎ To comply with the service quality Process, environmental & occupational issues & policies of the respective area.
∎ To comply with patient safety policy.
∎ To ensure safe utilization of equipment and proper waste disposal system
