Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Greet and assist patients upon their arrival for appointments or procedures, ensuring a professional and caring experience.
∎ Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, including follow-ups and required medical procedures.
∎ Update patient information and maintain accurate records of investigations, examinations, and medical histories in the system.
∎ Order and track medical supplies for the unit, ensuring that inventory is maintained and restocked as needed.
∎ Work with medical staff to schedule diagnostic tests, such as MRIs, X-rays, and lab work, ensuring timely completion of patient care.
∎ Transfer payment details and medical charges to the IPD billing department, ensuring accurate billing records.
∎ Ensure all patient records are organized, up-to-date, and accessible for healthcare providers when required.
∎ Contact patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and reschedule as needed.
∎ Prepare patient files and charts for discharges and transfers to other departments or physicians.
∎ Position Summary:
∎ Bangladesh Specialized Hospital PLC (BSH) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Secretary to join our team. The Unit Secretary is a key administrative role that supports both patients and healthcare providers within the hospital's inpatient departments (IPD). Working from various IPD floors, the Unit Secretary will handle clerical tasks, manage patient records, coordinate appointments, and ensure smooth communication between patients and the medical team. Additionally, the Unit Secretary will manage the ordering of medical supplies, maintain records of investigations and examinations, and transfer payment information to the IPD billing department. This role requires exceptional organizational and customer service skills, along with a strong attention to detail.
