Job Context:
∎ Community Partners International (CPI) is a U.S. based nonprofit organization that works with local partner organization Green Hill to expand access to quality health services and generate the resources, local capacity and coordination necessary for partners and the people to meet their own health and community needs.
∎ This position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients presenting with various types of illness or trauma requiring emergency attention. Nurses will collaborate with other professional disciplines to recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Primary Responsibilities
∎ Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on evidence-based practice focused on giving timely care to their patients. In a fast-paced environment, responsibilities includes but are not limited to:
∎ Collects patient data, including history and full set of vital signs, with knowledge of normal range values for pediatric and adult populations
∎ Performs triage, while considering both physical and psychosocial elements
∎ Manages basic life support needs and stabilizes patients until physician becomes available
∎ Prepares and administers medication (PO, PR, IM, IV) with proper documentation
∎ Prepares patient and equipment for procedures requiring anesthesia
∎ Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of resuscitation equipment and medications
∎ Provides IV therapy
∎ Performs suturing and wound management
∎ Provides basic bedside care with respect and dignity for each patient
∎ Provides patients a high level of respiratory management, including CPAP, BiPAP, high Flow Nasal Cannula and/or ventilation in collaboration with physicians
∎ Collaborates with the Charge Nurse to ensure all medical supply is stocked after use
∎ Performs Point of Care Testing (POTC), ECGs
∎ Displays professionalism and complies with nursing code of conduct rules established for the emergency department
∎ Follows clinical guidelines practiced within Sadar Hospital's Emergency Department
∎ Documents all care concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner on the appropriate forms
∎ Other Responsibilities :
∎ Completes required orientation as directed by the emergency department
∎ Respects cultural and religious practices of patients
∎ Punctual, dressed appropriately for shift (scrubs, closed-toe shoes, identification badge). Scrubs will be provided to each nurse by the emergency department.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of (3) years in nursing experience
∎ Preferred training as provider in First-aid, Basic Emergency Care (BEC), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) / Emergency Room Trauma Care (ERTC)
∎ Preferred familiarity or expertise in Infection Prevention Control (IPC)
∎ Experience with emergency or critical care nursing is desirable
∎ Active nursing license
∎ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Bangla (English also an asset but not essential)
∎ Multitasking and time-management skills
∎ Dedicated team player with a willingness to learn new skills
∎ Flexible and adaptable
Salary: Tk. 50000 - 55000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
