Job Context:
∎ HAEFA is seeking a female BMDC-registered National Clinical Coordinator for their HAEFA Bangladesh Country Office Program, which focuses on reproductive healthcare and chronic diseases. The ideal candidate should possess expertise and training in performing VIA, Cervical Cancer Screening methods, managing hypertension, diabetes, tuberculosis screening and be proficient in generating reports and promoting health education. The successful applicant should exhibit self-motivation, proactivity, and a willingness to learn new diagnostic and treatment procedures. She must maintain coordination with project personnel, community leaders, project stakeholders, and local government. Empathy towards individuals from disadvantaged and underprivileged backgrounds is considered a vital trait at HAEFA.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh
∎ Duration of contract: 1 year (Contract: Renewable; Position: Transferable)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate with the project medical team to develop and manage patient consultations, physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment.
∎ Collaborate with the project medical teams to plan and evaluate patient eligibility for hypertension, diabetes, tuberculosis, and cervical cancer screening, obtain informed consent, and oversee the screening process.
∎ Promote health education to project beneficiaries and coordinate with community leaders and stakeholders.
∎ Lead and manage all medical team personnel for the single-stop See-and-Treat Cervical Cancer screening program, as well as the Hypertension, Diabetes, and Tuberculosis screening and patient management program.
∎ Learn, deliver, and supervise the medical teams on conventional VIA procedures, diagnosis, treatment, and patient referral/back-referral for Cervical Cancer, Hypertension, Diabetes, and Tuberculosis diseases into the public healthcare system.
∎ Ensure proper and safe use of Mobile/Digital Colposcopes and Thremocoagulators for patients.
∎ Ensure that the medical teams are applying the EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system in a proper manner to effectively manage their patients.
∎ Maintain and upgrade medical equipment, including Mobile/Digital Colposcopes, Thremocoagulators, EMR System, Laptops, and other instruments for the project personnel
∎ Ensure that the medical teams collect and maintains confidential patient information in a HIPAA-compliant manner.
∎ Coordinate with government officials, NGO/INGOs, UN officials, medical personnel, and community stakeholders at Union, Upazila, District, and National levels.
∎ Coordinate with all project site personnel and ensure smooth implementation of the health programs.
∎ Deliver necessary training to the project personnel as required.
∎ Direct medical teams in their response to patients' medical problems by diagnosing, treating, counseling, and referring patients as needed.
∎ Secure pre-approval for laboratory/diagnostic examinations, evaluate test findings, and confirm appropriate treatment, surgical procedures, or referrals when necessary for the medical teams as per requirement.
∎ Maintain impartiality and confidentiality at all times
∎ Assist in overseeing project staff during medical camp training, seminars, and meetings.
∎ Assist with project reporting, data recording, and coordination within the project team and country office, and government and funding agencies.
∎ Perform other tasks assigned by the Country Office and Project Director.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 18 to 60 years
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Skills Required: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc, Corporate IT Support, IT Management.
∎ Experience in NGO/INGO will be given priority.
∎ Candidate must have proficiency in English.
