Job Context:
∎ Medical Technologist - Radiology & Imaging (X- Ray & CT Scan)
∎ Job Location: Rangpur (Dhap).
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assesses requisition for the appropriateness of the procedure.
∎ Asks patient to state name and verify name with documents or paper of patient. Explains the procedure.
∎ Performs radiologic procedures as assigned adhering to prescribed techniques. Use Lead Markers on all film.
∎ Prepares and administers contrast agents necessary for radiologic examinations of internal organs.
∎ Assesses and observes patient for adverse reactions during procedures.
∎ Prepares patient for procedures.
∎ Explains procedures, assists and transfers patient to table, positions patient's body for accurate images and assists patient at end of procedure.
∎ Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and specific CT Scan or X-Rays, adjusts equipment, determines proper voltage, current and desired exposure time, arranges immobilization and support devices to obtain position of patient, adjust lead shields to protect unaffected parts of the patient's body, adjusts cone to direct concentration of rays on specific area and selects proper film.
∎ Observes patient and equipment during procedures and reports unusual occurrences and records patient's condition.
∎ Transports patients within department, to and from waiting area as required.
∎ Processes images/film in accordance to guidelines and photographic techniques.
∎ Performs quality control activities to ensure optimal quality radiographs.
∎ Performs mobile CT Scan or x-rays in patient's rooms, emergency room, and operating room.
∎ Prepares and maintains radiologic records, files and technical work sheets.
∎ Disinfects patient rooms & follow infection control and safety guidelines.
∎ Any other tasks is assigned by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Skills Required: Computer Operating, Medical Knowledge.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): X-Ray or CT Scan.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hospital / Diagnostic / Clinic.
