SKS Hospital a sister concern of SKS Foundation is going to recruit the following position for it`s intervention. Medical Technologist (LAB) oversee all day-to-day Lab operations. Medical Technologist (LAB) work full-time hours during all shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. The Medical Technologist (LAB) reports directly to the Team Leader of SKS Diagnostic.
Sample Collection & Handling
Collect blood, urine, stool, and other body samples following standard protocols.
Label, preserve, and transport samples properly to prevent contamination.
Laboratory Testing & Analysis
Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests (hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, serology, etc.).
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (e.g., analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes).
Quality Control
Conduct internal and external quality control tests to ensure accuracy.
Maintain accurate records of all tests and QC results.
Result Interpretation & Reporting
Record test results accurately and ensure timely reporting.
Report abnormal or critical values to physicians immediately.
Equipment Maintenance
Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments.
Report any equipment malfunction for timely repair.
Safety & Infection Control
Follow biosafety and infection prevention protocols.
Properly dispose of biological and chemical waste.
Inventory & Stock Management
Maintain adequate stock of reagents, chemicals, and supplies.
Report shortages and assist in inventory control.
Documentation & Record Keeping
Maintain patient test records and laboratory logs.
Ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other health professionals.
Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff when required.
Continuous Professional Development
Stay updated with new laboratory techniques and technologies.
Participate in trainings, workshops, and continuing education programs.
