Job Responsibilities:
∎ Collect patients from the ward and transporting them to the operating theatre
∎ Talk to patients, reassure them and keep them calm
∎ Help the patient get cleaned and shaved for pre-surgical preparation including bowel preparation as may be needed
∎ Assist OT nurse to count and take note of the surgical instruments to be used during an operation
∎ Help OT Nurse in preparing the surgical equipment before an operation
∎ Assist the OT Nurse in cleaning up after an operation, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and health and safety procedures are followed
∎ Collect and record samples taken during surgery
∎ Make sure surgical and clinical waste is disposed of properly
∎ Maintain stock levels of medical and surgical items.
∎ Cleans with detergent, rinses and disinfect OT instruments with chlorine solution as needed.
∎ Perform such other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor
Additional Requirements:
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum two years of relevant experience of working in any private or public hospital,
∎ Previous work in Government health system will add value to the position.
∎ Working experience in Cox’s Bazar district and/or knowledge of the Undocumented Myanmar Nationals and Rohingya refugees will be a plus
