Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Provide round-the-clock medical care to inpatients within Aurora Specialized Hospital.
∎ Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients admitted to the hospital, including medical history review, physical examinations, and diagnostic test interpretation.
∎ Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and medical protocols.
∎ Monitor and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, coordinating with specialists and other healthcare professionals as necessary.
∎ Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
∎ Perform medical procedures such as wound care, suturing, and minor surgical interventions when required.
∎ Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing immediate intervention and stabilizing patients as needed.
∎ Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care delivery and adherence to treatment plans.
∎ Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive healthcare measures.
∎ Document patient care activities accurately and comprehensively in medical records, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulatory standards.
∎ Participate in medical rounds, case conferences, and interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and coordinate care transitions.
∎ Stay updated on advancements in medical knowledge, techniques, and technologies through continuing education and professional development activities.
∎ Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols, including infection control measures and quality improvement initiatives.
∎ Provide support and supervision to junior medical staff, interns, and medical students as assigned.
∎ Collaborate with hospital management and clinical leadership to enhance patient care services and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
