Job Responsibilities:
∎ Clinical Care:
∎ Willing to work in COVID19 Isolation Unit & Emergency Department
∎ Take history, perform examination, order investigations and prescribe treatment.
∎ Provide direct clinical care, working closely with clinical staff, midwives and non clinical staff and with the other health facilities, to ensure the delivery of high quality comprehensive emergency and primary healthcare services.
∎ Manage Medical, Pediatric, Neonates and Obstetric emergencies ensuring appropriate referral as needed
∎ To stay in the Isolation Unit/Emergency Department at all times except 40 minutes break for tea & prayer.
∎ Provide clinical support to the teams and clinicians. Monitors prescriptions and conducts audits to ensure legitimacy and clinically justified based on WHO/MoH/CPI protocols.
∎ Provide written handover at bedside
∎ Seek expert opinion through consultants per isolation facility policy
∎ Ensure all patient consultations and treatments are appropriately recorded
∎ Oversee the provision of quality care within the ensuring consultations and treatments are in line with relevant clinical protocols, guidelines and standard methodologies
∎ Provide health and hygiene promotion to patients and caregivers
∎ Ensure that IMCI protocols are implemented and followed by all staff (MA, Nurses, Midwives, vaccinators)
∎ Ensure appropriate infection prevention and control measures are in place at the Emergency Department/ Isolation Unit and monitor staff adherence
∎ Ensure patient confidentiality is respected, and that all consultations are conducted in a dignified and respectful manner

∎ Staff Supervision & Development:
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions
∎ Provide medical support and mentorship to other clinical staff, providing on-the-job training where needed
∎ Directly supervise the following staff Medical Assistants, Midwives, Nurses, Dispensers, vaccinators
∎ Work with relevant staff to ensure prompt requesting of medical drugs and supplies


∎ Monitoring & Reporting:
∎ Ensure all patient consultations are documented and patient records completed
∎ Maintaining facility registers and other data collection tools, ensuring accurate and timely recording of information
∎ Daily collection, compilation and reporting of data
∎ Submit daily reports in a timely manner

∎ Other Duties:
∎ Consistently and dedicatedly monitor/assess the safety and security of the team; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to management and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security

∎ Any other tasks as assigned by the Medical Team Lead

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 26 to 30 years
∎ Minimum 1 years of experience post-internship.
∎ Can manage critically ill patients
∎ Excellent knowledge of antibiotic stewardship
∎ Experience working in Emergency Department/ ICU/ITU desirable
∎ Well defined knowledge of Infection prevention & control desirable
∎ Willing to work in COVID19 Isolation unit
∎ Good command over English, Chittagongian & Bangla desirable
∎ Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
∎ Exposure to working with local partners and providing/attending training in NGOs
∎ Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills
∎ Experience working in a multicultural, low-resource setting
∎ Ability to establish priorities in a time sensitive environment and meet deadlines with strong attention to consistency, detail, and quality

Salary: Negotiable
