Educational Requirements:
∎ Candidate should have MBBS from any accredited academic institution; and registered with a valid working license by Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC).

∎ At least 2 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ Currently Bangladesh Red Crescent Society is operating Integrated Isolation and Treatment Center (IITC) for Covid-19 cases in Camp area and looking for suitable Bangladeshi nationals for this position.
∎ Duration of contract : Upto December 2021.
∎ Organizational Unit : PMO, BDRCS.
∎ Report to : Team Leader, IITC, PMO, BDRCS.
∎ Age : 25 - 45 years (May be relaxed in case of potential candidate)
∎ Duty station : IITC, Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar.
∎ Purpose of the position: This position is to assist in the successful implementation of the IITC program.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide outpatient and/or inpatient medical care to patients / beneficiaries according to adapted and updated medical knowledge, standard protocols, values and universal hygiene standards to improve the patients'/beneficiaries health conditions.
∎ Dealing with suspected and/or confirmed Covid-19 cases.
∎ Apply medical knowledge and skills to diagnose and prevention. Carry out outpatient and inpatient consultations as per requested, prescribing the necessary treatment respecting protocols.
∎ Keep the patient and/or his/her family informed about the illness and provide appropriate explanations about the treatment to follow, checking they have understood.
∎ Follow up the evolution of the patients, through daily visits, consultations and examinations, prescribing the necessary treatment following protocols, deciding whether they can be discharged or transferred to other departments - in collaboration with other doctors- and informing their family about the patient's evolution.
∎ Mentor nurses and midwives in the facilities on the following areas: Counselling and provision of Family Planning, Clinical Care for Sexual Assault Survivors, Provision of basic first aid for intimate partner violence, Syndromic treatment of STIs, Menstrual regulation, ANC and PNC, Delivery of hygiene promotion, health education and patient/care giver counselling, etc.
∎ Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control measures.
∎ Ensure accurate recording of information in the registers, and timely completion of summary reports.
∎ Check and control the rational distribution of medicines and equipment under his/her responsibility and take care the quality, disinfection and sterilization of the medical material. Assure general compliance with standing hygiene standards.
∎ Participate in the collection of epidemiological data, checking its validity and informing the health manager or project coordinator about any problem or complication of the patients' illness, medical error and monitors the proper functioning of the clinic's equipment or material.
∎ Knows and ensures all standard medical protocols are followed and implemented, checking universal precautions are followed at all times and reducing bio-hazard risks and improving infection control.
∎ Perform any other duties as may be assigned.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 45 years
∎ At least 02 (two) years working experience in hospitals, clinics, health centers, general practice, etc.
∎ Experience in supporting emergency response, COVID-19 patient management, IPC training is desired
∎ Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team
∎ Ability to work in a rural setting
∎ Good computer skills, especially in MS Office and data entry templates
∎ Good coordination skills and ability to cope with stress
∎ Fluency in both spoken and written Bangla and English languages, knowledge of the local dialect (Chittagonian) would be an asset
∎ Qualities:

∎ • Act at all times in accordance with the Code of Conduct of RCRC Movement
∎ • Priority will be given to the candidates who demonstrate a high level of motivation and good communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ • Honesty and high level of professional integrity.

Salary:
∎ Salary : Negotiable (Upto BDT. 100,000/-).
