∎ · B.Sc in Medical Laboratory Science / Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology / 2 years Certificate of training in Pathology in a reputed Medical Institution.· Experience of working in a reputed laboratory or hospital after certification for 2- 3 years would be an additional advantage

∎ · Proven ability to work independently and working together with other colleagues Excellent problem solving skill. Language skills both in Bangla and English.· At least 2 years of laboratory experience in academic or research institutions or a diagnostic laboratory.
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ · Clean and arrange his workplace when he report for duty.· Check all the electrical connections, automated and semi-automated equipment’s for the proper working condition· He is posted in specified work stations and must finish his assigned work.· He will ensure the reception and processing of sample in his respective section of the laboratory in accordance with the laid down standard operating procedure (SOP)· Will hand over his entire task finished or in the process to his reliever at the end of his shift· Should not leave any work or procedure half way without assigning any one to complete it. This is allowed only in case of any emergent work or other emergencies which must be reported to the senior lab technologists.· Follow the laid down procedure for waste disposal and have knowledge of laboratory Biosafety.· Should carry a note book for writing any important task or assignment.· Guide, supervise and train the subordinate staff/colleague in a manner that the quality of technical work done in the concerned section is maintained even in his absence.· Ensure cleanliness and to ensure that disinfection is carried out in the concerned laboratory as lay down in the SOP and to maintain good housekeeping.· Constantly update his knowledge and skills· Ensure that all log books are maintained properly as required by the documentation system. Perform tests pertaining to internal quality control and report any deviation from expected data to Technical Manager/ Section Heads and take necessary corrective/preventive action.· Must finish his assigned work.· Verify quality of products, expiry date and on board stability as per laid down procedure.· Check daily maintenance of equipment and entry of observation in the Maintenance Record Book.· Prepare daily work sheet according to requisition and bill payment slip· Perform tests as per work sheet and print test results in the lab computer.· Check and sign the test results as per authorization of signing and forward these reports to the Technical manager/Deputy Technical manager/ Biochemist.· Delivers patients reports according to times indicated in policy and standard operating procedures (SOP).· Any other duty as assigned by the Director of Laboratory and Section In-Charge.To summarize, it is not the intention of this Job Description to limit the scope or responsibilities of the above-mentioned, but to highlight the most important aspects of your position.
