Job Context:
∎ The Bengal Creative Media South East (BCM SE) branch has many foreigners who live far away from high quality international standard medical care. For this reason, it is imparitive to have a medical employee with western training to provide care for our staff in this remote location.
∎ In addition, there are other organizations with needs for medical personel with this specific qualification in this area of Southern Bangladesh.
∎ This position requires the Medical Health Liaison to provide for the needs of BCM SE staff, as well as contracted partners to BCM.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide medical care to BCM SE staff in Ukhiya
∎ Provide follow up assessment / education for patients from contraced organizations in and around South Eastern Bangladesh.
∎ Roles and duties could include:
∎ Basic and specific physical assessment
∎ Follow up on patient compliance
∎ Wound care
∎ Physical therapy
∎ Referrals for cases that have not improved or need further assessment
∎ Continuing education for patients
∎ Providing resources for further medical evaluation
Additional Requirements:
∎ RN, BSN
∎ At least 3 years experience in western medical field
∎ Experience in health education
∎ Intercultural training
∎ Fluent in English
∎ Working proficiency in local language(s)
