Educational Requirements:
∎ Completed Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) with 1-year internship having valid registration from Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC).

Job Context:
∎ Work Location: IRC-Bangladesh, Shamlapur Isolation Centre in Camp 23
∎ Reporting To: Isolation Centre Clinical Lead (COVID-19 Response)
∎ Department: Health
∎ Expected Start Date: At Earliest
∎ Contract length: 6 Months (During the entire contract period, the COVID-19 Response Program staffs will have to stay at IRC arranged accommodation facility and cannot travel outside.)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oversee operation of COVID-19 isolation and treatment center (CITC) being directly responsible for supervision of CITC staff and development, coordination and implementation of CITC operational plan.
∎ Render supportive supervision and guidance to medical staff on clinical management of patients, including diagnosis, isolation, treatment, care and referral.
∎ Capacity building of staff infection prevention and control, case management and referral system through regular on-job trainings, CME and formal trainings.
∎ Implement infection prevention and control measures at CITC, including triage, patient flow, standard precautions, PPE and waste management in line with the guidance of WHO, IEDCR & National protocol.
∎ Develop protocols and procedures for improved performance of CITC and staff and patient safety. 6. Identify the logistic, infrastructure and operational needs of CITC and communicate senior management team accordingly. Coordinate with medical logistic team to ensure supply availability at CITC in line with the standard disease commodity package of WHO.
∎ Coordinate with community health work program for implementation of necessary preventive activities including risk communication and community engagement.
∎ Support and train the network of community health workers and mobile medical teams on home-based care, referral and contact tracing of COVID-19 cases.
∎ Prepare daily and periodic reports and updates and support data management team for relevant data collection, analysis and reporting (e.g. EWARS, case report form).
∎ Assist in epidemiological analysis and evaluation of program and interventions.
∎ Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Experience in management of health facilities and staff, including previous experience of supervising and mentoring other health staff.
∎ At least 1 year of experience excluding internship.
∎ Ability and flexibility to understand the cultural and political environment and to work well with the local health representatives.
∎ Skills to provide sensitive and appropriate medical counselling.
∎ Excellent communication skills, good spoken and writing of concise reports in English.
∎ Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure in a stressful environment, displaying patience, compassion and diplomacy.
∎ Ability to be innovative, flexible, adaptive, and willingness to work in potentially stressful and challenging environments.
∎ Ability to live and work in challenging conditions.
