Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Equipment & Machinery Management: Oversee the selection, operation, and maintenance of construction equipment.
∎ Site Supervision & Execution: Ensure proper installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment used in bridge, road and highway construction.
∎ Pavement & Road Construction Support: Supervise mechanical aspects of pavement laying, compaction, and finishing processes to maintain durability and structural integrity.
∎ Structural & Stress Analysis: Conduct load calculations, stress analysis, and performance testing for bridges, culverts, and other structural components in road construction.
∎ Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure compliance with government regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines in all mechanical construction activities.
∎ Site Safety & Risk Management: Implement safety protocols for mechanical equipment operations, reducing risks related to machinery usage and site hazards.
∎ Project Planning & Coordination: Work closely with civil engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure timely execution of mechanical tasks in alignment with overall project schedules.
∎ Maintenance & Repair: Develop preventive maintenance schedules and oversee the repair of construction machinery to minimize downtime.
∎ Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Assist in estimating costs for mechanical equipment, spare parts, and operational expenses for the project.
∎ Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, maintenance logs, and project documentation related to mechanical operations in road and highway, Railway construction.
