Responsibilities & Context:
Job Responsibilities:
✓ Support engineering and design of mechanical systems for manufacturing industries (Power Plant, Automotive, Electronics, etc.).
✓ Prepare and manage technical documentation, including manufacturing procedures, assembly instructions, and machine/component manuals.
✓ Review and interpret 3D CAD models and drawings for documentation and validation purposes.
✓ Understand the 3D modeling and design process (even if not directly creating models) to ensure technical accuracy in documentation.
✓ Utilize CAD system APIs or automation tools for document generation or design data management.
✓ Conduct material selection, design validation, and analysis when required.
✓ Perform data review, error analysis, and problem-solving in collaboration with design teams.
✓ Work with point cloud data for plant layout documentation, equipment verification, and modification records.
✓ Contribute to plant engineering management, including equipment layout documentation and coordination with civil, electrical, and automation teams.
✓ Ensure all documentation and designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
✓ Participate in continuous improvement activities by enhancing documentation standards, templates, and CAD-data workflows.
✓ Understanding the requirements of Engineering Data Migration across different PDM and PLM systems.
✓ Data extraction from source systems, Data transformation, and loading to the target system (ETL) processes.
✓ Deep understanding of PDM/PLM systems, data structures, and migration methodologies to ensure a seamless transition with minimal disruption to business operation
Requirements:
✓ Hands-on experience in mechanical design, with a strong understanding of design principles and manufacturing processes.
✓ Proficient in multiple CAD tools, including CATIA V5/V6, Siemens NX, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, and similar platforms.
✓ Knowledge and working experience with PDM and PLM systems such as ENOVIA and Teamcenter.
✓ Programming proficiency in C, C#, Python, or other relevant languages for CAD automation or data processing.
✓ Experience with SQL databases and data manipulation or automation workflows.
✓ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for engineering data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
