Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives to drive cost-efficiency and continuous process improvement.
∎ Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers; negotiate favorable terms and agreements to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
∎ Design and manage demand planning processes to ensure optimal product availability while minimizing excess inventory.
∎ Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks, including disruptions and delays.
∎ Develop and maintain contingency plans to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
∎ Generate regular performance reports for senior management, providing data-driven insights and actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
∎ Review and update supply chain practices in line with new or evolving environmental policies, regulations and legal requirements.
∎ Oversee and improve supplier performance through consistent evaluation and collaboration.
∎ Ensure effective communication by operations staff with all vendors, suppliers, and contractors, maintaining professionalism and clarity.
∎ Analyze market behavior, competitor strategies, threats and opportunities and customer trends to continuously refine supply chain strategies.
∎ Review and recommend effective SOPs, policies and best practices for efficient supply chain management.
∎ Coordinate with relevant departments to stay updated on future requirements and maintain strong cross-functional collaboration.
∎ Prepare and execute monthly, quarterly and annual procurement plans to ensure seamless operations.
∎ Enhance vendor and supplier relationships, fostering mutual growth under clearly defined corporate agreements.
∎ Develop and implement systems for supplier evaluation and selection; conduct performance reviews and negotiate prices and contract terms.
∎ Design and oversee product take-back programs and reverse logistics operations.
∎ Manage logistics operations and maintain control in coordination with various pharmaceutical companies.
