Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from any reputed University/BIT or Engineering College
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 6 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Act as the main technical adviser/coach on a construction site for contractors, project team, engineers, craftsmen and operatives with tasks you assign to them.
∎ Set out, level and survey the site
∎ Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
∎ Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications. Oversee the selection, requisition and quality of materials
∎ Make cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended projects.
∎ Manage, monitor and interpret the contract, design documents.
∎ Liaise with any consultants, architects, contractors, vendors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
∎ Liaise with the competent authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with construction documentation required as per regulations and laws.
∎ Communicate with Management/Senior Officials of the company including attending regular meetings to report progress of the works. Carry out day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site works as per implementation plan.
∎ Day-to-day supervision of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of the contractors.
∎ Plan the work and efficiently organize the site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
∎ Oversee quality control and health and safety matters on site
∎ Prepare reports as required
∎ Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise and do such other works as may be assigned from time to time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Communication skills, written and oral, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of other professionals, e.g. construction managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, architects, designers, other engineers
∎ Organization skills and a methodical approach to work
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
∎ Accuracy and attention to detail
∎ Negotiation skills
∎ Strong team-working skills
∎ Excellent IT skills
∎ Flexibility.
