Job Responsibilities:
∎ CAPACITY PLANNING & MONITORING:
∎ Ensures submission of monthly and yearly capacity budget to senior management for comparison of capacity vs. yearly sales budget.
∎ Monitors on on-going basis monthly budgeted sales vs forecast sales and provides
∎ recommendations / takes corrective action in case of deviation.
∎ Ensures effective monitoring of weekly/monthly Plan vs. Execution progress and suggests corrective actions in case of deviations.
∎ Ensures adherence to the suggested planning tools by the SCM team to manage the function effectively.
∎ Provides input for improved capacity utilization and capacity enhancement plans in line with business strategy.
∎ SOURCING:
∎ Works out optimum pricing agreements with the selected suppliers in coordination with Head SCM thus arriving at the best possible price, by demonstrating company's overall value addition to the suppliers.
∎ Ensures receipt of inventory as per sourcing plan in line with procurement requirements of ADN Telecom.
∎ Reviews and ensures accurate drafting of all purchase contracts, documents, relevant clauses etc. keeping in mind the best interest of the organization.
∎ Assists the management in resolving contractual and commercial problems which may arise with the Vendors/Suppliers during any stage of the Sourcing process.
∎ COST MANAGEMENT:
∎ Identifies cost reduction opportunities through appropriate and timely procurement planning, monitoring support and analysis.
∎ Reviews the offer price of Vendors for different categories of materials and performs a first level analysis of the same in comparison with market standards.
∎ Conducts a comparative analysis of vendor prices for the sourced products and prices offered by other members operating in the same industry for similar quality products.
∎ INVENTORY MANAGEMENT:
∎ Ensures adherence to inventory control procedures for better cost management.
∎ Ensures physical inventory in the warehouse matches the ERP systems inventory for better inventory management and control.
∎ Monitors inspection of supplies and raw material to identify shortages if any to ensure stock is adequate and can cover demand from Technology Departments. Places orders with vendors to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies.
∎ VENDOR MANAGEMENT:
∎ Identifies suppliers/vendors for the purpose of sourcing - selects supplier specific metrics, goals, and rating and reward systems used to measure and recognize suppliers.
∎ Ensures development and maintenance of strong relationships with suppliers leading to lower negotiated prices, better service levels, longer-term contracts and a mutually beneficial long lasting relationship.
∎ REPORTS/ MIS:
∎ Prepares and submits reports, MIS and statistics related to the Planning function for management review and decision making.
∎ PEOPLE MANAGEMENT:
∎ Participates in manpower planning exercises to ensure optimum deployment of manpower in the department.
∎ Manages recruitment and selection activities of the department along with HR based on approved manpower plans.
∎ Seeks to consistently align and executes training programs and initiatives within the department.
