• Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, pattern development, fitting, and sample manufacturing.

• Good understanding of woven garments, fabrics, trims, and accessories.

• Familiarity with buyer-specific sample requirements and approval procedures.

• Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent coordination, communication, and time-management skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall sample room operations, ensuring timely development and delivery of samples as per buyer requirements.

• Coordinate with Merchandising, Design, Pattern, CAD, and Production teams to ensure smooth sample development.

• Manage the development of various types of samples, including Proto, Fit, Size Set, Salesman, Photo, and Pre-Production (PP) samples.

• Ensure samples meet buyer specifications, approved measurements, construction details, workmanship, and quality standards.

• Monitor sample development timelines and ensure timely submission to buyers.

• Review technical specifications, tech packs, and sample comments to ensure accurate execution.

• Identify and resolve technical issues related to garment construction, pattern, fit, and workmanship.

• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machinery, and other resources within the sample room.

• Lead, supervise, and develop the sample room team to improve productivity and performance.

• Maintain proper documentation and records of sample development, approvals, and revisions.

• Coordinate with buyers and internal stakeholders to address sample-related queries and feedback.

• Implement process improvements to enhance sample room efficiency and reduce development lead time.
