Job Context:
∎ A Public Listed Company is looking for a smart procurement professional to oversee purchasing activities and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality.
∎ Job Location Head Office (Dhaka).
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures in line with the procurement strategy of the organization.
∎ Maintain and update supplier information such as documentations, qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
∎ Receive purchase requisition and verify the requirement of procurement based on minimum reordering level and storage capacity.
∎ Collect quotations from vendors/suppliers and negotiate to obtain the best price.
∎ Evaluate the market, delivery and pricing continuously to determine present and future material availability to maximize profitability.
∎ Identify alternative / new products in the market, undertake cost-benefit analysis.
∎ Build relation with suppliers, store and internal- external stakeholder to ensure in time operation of the business.
∎ Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, invoices, and receipts.
∎ Ensure product's specification during purchase to reduce rejection levels.
∎ Purchase materials within best price and quality, ensure on-time delivery.
∎ Resolve any issues or disputes with suppliers and vendors.
∎ Prepare and present reports on procurement performance, costs and savings.
∎ Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment of procurement objectives and requirements.
∎ Ensure compliance of all purchased goods and services with the procurement policy of the company.
∎ Process bills as per company policy and submit to the billing department.
∎ Perform any other tasks assigned by the management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 35 years
∎ At least 06 year(s) of experience in a procurement section in Food Industry is must.
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.
∎ Expertise in Purchase/ Procurement, supply chain management.
∎ Knowledge of Procurement best practices, standards and regulations.
∎ Negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
∎ Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
∎ Working knowledge on VAT & Tax regulations regarding corporate procurement.
