Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead and manage the mechanical and electrical engineering team to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of all plant machinery and utility systems.
∎ Plan, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned downtime.
∎ Supervise installation, commissioning, and modification of machinery, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with safety standards.
∎ Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex mechanical/electrical issues in production, utility, and packaging systems.
∎ Analyze equipment performance and energy consumption to recommend improvements in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
∎ Ensure all mechanical and electrical systems comply with company policies, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
∎ Prepare and manage annual maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and vendor management.
∎ Train, mentor, and evaluate engineering staff to enhance their technical skills and performance.
∎ Coordinate with production, quality assurance, and supply chain departments to meet production targets and reduce machine-related bottlenecks.
∎ Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are strictly followed during maintenance and operations.
∎ Generate and review maintenance reports, downtime analysis, and KPI tracking for continuous improvement.
