Job Responsibilities:
∎ Key Job Responsibilities:
∎ Leads the development of Issue management plans, advocacy strategies and stakeholder engagement plans for high-priority issues
∎ Speaks as company representative before regulatory and legislative bodies
∎ Represents the company at public events such as oil & gas seminars, business association forums, government agency meetings
∎ Regularly counsels business leaders on policy and political trends that can impact our business
∎ Leads the execution of advocacy or issue management plans to manage and resolve high-priority business issues
∎ Identifies opportunities for business leaders to engage high-level government officials. Manages the engagements
∎ Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with government leaders and heads of trade and industry associations
∎ Serves as a mentor to Government Affairs team
∎ Advocates with high-level government officials and other high-level stakeholders
∎ Maintains enduring relationships with top government officials and influential stakeholders
∎ Provides strategic advice and guidance to company leadership team
∎ Act as policy analyst on draft legislation and regulation.
∎ Crisis Management - engages with relevant government departments throughout the phases of an operational issue or crisis.
∎ Manage relationships and represents the company to a wide range of External Stakeholders including Government of Bangladesh agencies and Business Chambers.
∎ Identify, develop new business opportunities and facilitate different government approval process
∎ Lead the coordination with government stakeholders for annual budgeting approval process

Additional Requirements:
∎ Familiarity with a MNC compliance processes and procedures
∎ Minimum 8-9 years working experience with project related works with government agencies
∎ Excellent writing, presentation and public speaking skills
∎ Familiar with the basic rules of business of GOB
∎ Excellent knowledge of English Language with writing and verbal skills
∎ Knowledge of Law, Legal Code, Government Regulations pertaining to oil and gas industry
∎ Effective leadership and strategic thinking
∎ Knowledge of strategic planning and project management
∎ Ability of effective communication with internal and external stakeholders
∎ Skilled in networking and relationship building as a means of learning and influencing change
∎ Supervisory experience
