Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc in Textile Engineering from any reputed University.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 8 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
supply chain management, Supply Chain Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Yarn Costing
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
Garments, Textile
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Should be responsible for purchasing the goods at a competitive price after verifying the local and foreign sources.
∎ Collect purchase orders and purchase requisitions from the concerned department.
∎ Build and maintain good relationships with vendors, as well as the entire team to understand needs and objectives.
∎ Collect quotations from vendors & complete Price negotiation.
∎ Prepare supplier's evaluation report before order confirmation.
∎ Prepare comparative statement and take approval from Management.
∎ Responsible to ensure timely delivery of the goods to the factory and follow up with the store of all units for timely receiving of the goods.
∎ Follow up prices, specifications & delivery dates to determine the best bid price among.
∎ Devising and using fruitful procurement and sourcing strategies
∎ Discovering profitable suppliers and initiating procurement partnerships
∎ Negotiating with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
∎ Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements.
∎ Monitor and manage yarn supplier performance, quality, and on-time delivery.
∎ Identify potential alternative suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
∎ Maintain strong relationships with yarn suppliers to secure a stable supply chain.
∎ Develop production plans based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
∎ Coordinate with the production team to ensure timely production runs.
∎ Adjust production schedules as needed to accommodate changes in demand or supply.
∎ Collaborate with the merchandising team to gather accurate demand forecasts.
∎ Utilize forecasting tools and historical data to predict future yarn requirements.
∎ Coordinate the shipment of yarn from suppliers to production facilities.
∎ Monitor global market trends and geopolitical factors that may impact yarn price & supply.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 25 years
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(S): Purchase / Procurement, Supply Chain and should yarn procurement for knit composite.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(S): Knit Composite
∎ Excellent in written and oral communication in both Bangla and English.
∎ Personality: Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook.
∎ Personal Situation-Must be mature and domestically secure.
∎ Computer Skills- Must be adept in use of MS Office 2008 or later, particularly Excel and Word, and ideally Access or similar database to basic level, Internet and email
∎ Literacy and Numeracy: Able to understand basic business calculations, e.g., percentages and ratio calculations etc.
∎ Communication Skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator.
