Job Context:
∎ ASHA Projects Ltd is a small-scale "Fairtrade Handicrafts Company", specialized in embroidery, exclusively for export (Europe). ASHA is registered with the RJSC as a Social Business Company and employs around 10 workers, with capacity to grow. All workers are from poor background and their employment is essential for the wellbeing of their family with children.

∎ ASHA is looking for a strong leader (MANAGER) who loves Handicrafts and Fairtrade, enjoys working with people. She/he is capable to bear full responsibility for the overall management of the project,assisted by and under the authority of the residing Belgian Chairman.For practical work, the manager has the full cooperation of our experienced (female) workshopleader, working for more than 10 years in the project. For all accounting and financial management ASHA has additional support from an audit company.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Contact with the buyers in Belgium: keep smooth contact by phone, mail, skype, OneDrive...
∎ (All contacts are in English). Make product price calculations and final order form for the clients.
∎ Organize the production and the timely export (by air) of the orders received from clients.
∎ Sourcing of the production materials.
∎ Help to design new products, with suggestions from buyers and assisted by the workshop leader and workers.
∎ Investigate to develop new IGA's (Income Generating Activities), specifically a new "Taylor and Cloth Shop" in Badda area.
∎ HR-Management: Maintain a safe, compliant, productive and pleasant workplace.
∎ Supervise and maintain finance & accounting.
∎ CSR: additional support for Education of the workers' children and IT-Training for youth.
∎ Legal obligations of the Limited Company and yearly Audit, assisted by the auditor.
∎ Any other tasks as assignments by the Management from time to time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ The applicants have experience in the following area(s): Management of a team; Administration; Maintenance of finances and accounts; planning and organization.
∎ Experience in Handicrafts/ SME is an advantage.
∎ Female candidates are strongly advised to apply.
∎ Spoken and written English is a must.
∎ Excel program is frequently used.
∎ Strong analytical and accounting ability.
Salary:
∎ Minimum 20,000. Negotiable as for experience
