Education:
∎ Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) or equivalent degree in a relevant subject.
∎ Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pathology Lab or Molecular Lab after completing the B.Sc course.

Requirements:
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Prepare specimens for molecular testing as per defined Standard Operating Procedure & Policy (SOPP).
∎ Perform molecular techniques including nucleic acid extraction (both manual and automated), and various PCR techniques including RT-PCR set-up, standardization, and validation procedures.
∎ Conduct qualitative assays and quantitative viral load assays.
∎ Perform data analysis, interpret test results, and generate case reports for final review.
∎ Standardize assays, document procedures, and troubleshoot any issues.
∎ Maintain laboratory equipment according to protocols.
∎ Validate results and release them for Pathologist's approval upon completion of the analysis.
∎ Maintain documentation as defined in the standard operating procedures.
∎ Ensure adequate day-to-day inventory levels.
∎ Assess calibration, control, and acceptability of analytical runs for all laboratory data produced.
∎ Observe all laboratory safety precautions in the handling of clinical specimens and running of tests.
∎ Notify the supervisor of any abnormal findings/test conditions that require specific attention.
∎ Maintain the Quality Management System and technical records.
∎ Job Summary:
∎ The Junior Scientific Officer will be responsible for preparing and analyzing samples, conducting laboratory tests to diagnose various diseases accurately, maintaining laboratory equipment, and following safety procedures.
∎ Job Duties & Responsibilities:
