Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Monitor and track procurement demands to ensure compliance with purchasing requirements.
∎ Generate and issue Purchase Orders (PO) while overseeing the procurement process from order placement to shipment and factory arrival.
∎ Coordinate with the Logistics Department to arrange transportation by road, air, or sea, ensuring the timely delivery of materials.
∎ Organize partial deliveries as needed to meet production demands.
∎ Prepare and process payment documents, ensuring smooth payment disbursement to suppliers.
∎ Liaise with various departments, including Finance, Production, and Warehouse, to collect material specifications and keep stakeholders informed on the procurement status.
∎ Consolidate purchase orders and requisitions to place material orders efficiently.
∎ Maintain strong business relationships with national and international suppliers to sustain long-term procurement partnerships.
∎ Track, document, and maintain a database of all purchase orders, updating stakeholders regularly.
∎ Stay updated with industry best practices by attending relevant procurement and supply chain management training sessions.
