Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee and coordinate the daily distribution of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in full compliance with customer orders and schedules.
∎ Plan and optimize delivery routes for maximum efficiency, considering factors such as traffic, delivery locations, and vehicle capacity to minimize costs and delays.
∎ Ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels, maintain records of goods in transit and monitor stock levels at distribution centers to prevent shortage or overstocking.
∎ Track and report on the performance of distribution operations, including delivery times, accuracy and customer satisfaction, making adjustments as needed to improve efficiency.
∎ Manage relationships with third party vendors, suppliers and transport partners, ensuring they meet performance standards and delivery timelines.
∎ Address and resolve distribution related issues, such as delays, stock discrepancies or transportation challenges, providing quick solutions to maintain smooth operations.
