Educational Requirements:
∎ Degree in Medical Science (Nurse/ Midwife/ Medical Assistant)

∎ At least 1 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ The IPC assistant will work in collaboration with the IRC health team staff to improve IPC practices and structures within the IRC supported health facilities, providing training and mentorship for IRC staff and healthcare providers in COVID-19 response.
∎ Line Manager: IPC Senior Officer

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical support.
∎ Provide additional training as needed.
∎ Accompany IPC senior officer on facility visits to ensure quality IPC implementation.
∎ Ensure IPC assessments.
∎ Provide support and advice for problem solving and challenges.
∎ Track and monitor facility progress and follow-up.
∎ Ensure distribution of IPC equipment and supplies on time.
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
∎ Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of field teams, promptly reporting concerns or incidents to IRC management and liaising with other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment.
∎ This position may enter the red zone/wet area of the isolation unit.
∎ Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop IRC programs.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1-year experience in relevant area.
∎ Working experience with the Rohingya Response Program will be an asset.
∎ Practical experience with Microsoft Word.
∎ Demonstrated attention to details, ability to follow procedures, meets deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members.
∎ Negotiating skills.
∎ Team-working skills.
∎ Flexibility under pressure and in response to changing needs.
∎ Good Written & Spoken in English.
∎ Ability to speak and understand Local Language.
