∎ NESL now invites applications from competent candidates for the post of Instrumental Commissioning Engineer for employment with our prospective clients working in power sector.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To undertake testing and commissioning of the following Instrumentation related works but not limited to:
∎ To support the Monitoring and Site installation works related instrumentation works such as Mounting of Instrument stanchion, instrument installation like Pressure Transmitter, Thermocouple, RTD, etc.
∎ To have a sound knowledge in installation works of Instrumentation piping.
∎ Have a good knowledge about instrument calibration works like Transmitter, thermocouple, RTD, level gauges but not limited to.
∎ Should have an experience in the calibration of Control valves, On-Off valves.
∎ Should have knowledge in the installation of Vibration Monitoring Systems.
∎ Should have knowledge in the Turbine Supervisory Instrument installation.
∎ Loop checking between Filed instrument to DCS.
∎ Assist the site commissioning team during hot commissioning works.
∎ To perform the loop check for the DCS related works.
∎ Commissioning activities with other commissioning groups (Mechanical, Generator, and Switchyard, etc.).
∎ Having a knowledge of Power Plant Process would be an added advantage. Coordination with other groups such as erection group, other consortium members and customer, etc.
∎ To ensure the safe Testing and Commissioning of completed installations to achieve the necessary plant milestones in accordance with the project schedule requirements.
∎ Assist in the assessment of commissioning cost, maintenance cost, and safety studies
∎ To prepare and produce all testing and commissioning documentation, if required prepare the Method Statements and Commissioning procedures.
∎ To schedule, coordinate and execute testing and full life cycle of onsite commissioning activities with tight deadlines and in line with the specified equipment requirements
∎ Monitoring progress and recording all test results, witnessing final testing and acceptance of equipment and compilation of all documentation as per approved 'TPs.
∎ To possess a good communication skills and have to liaise with the other consortium members and also deal with the Owner and its Consulting team.
∎ Troubleshooting, countermeasures and providing advice on operational procedures, schematic and drawings.
∎ To schedule and supervise operational review with operational and engineering staff. And also to give OJT (On Job Training) to Owner Team as and when required,
∎ Perform other administrative or engineering duties as assigned.
∎ Working hours: regular office hours with occasional long day and some weekends depending on project deadlines.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 30 years
∎ Plenty of years of experience in Instrumentation engineering with EPC / EPCM contractors.
∎ Operation & Maintenance in the Power Plant Preferable Supercritical Thermal Power Plants.
∎ Proficient in MS Office Applications and AutoCAD Applications .
∎ Results oriented individual with robust technical abilities and capable to work under tight
∎ deadlines.
∎ Able to work independently and in a team to achieve departmental goal.
∎ Able to keep good relationship with all personnel at site and people in the living area.
