Educational Requirements:
∎ B. Sc. in Petroleum & Mining Engineering/Mechanical Engineering from a reputed university.
∎ Minimum two (02) years of job experience in the Oil & Gas Sector especially in the LPG Plant as an HSE Engineer.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Context:
∎ UNIgas has constructed a state-of-the-art LPG Import, Storage, Bottling, and Distribution Terminal & a Cylinder Manufacturing Plant in Sitakunda, Chattogram. The Main Terminal is located at Sitakunda in Chattogram and satellite stations are being set up across the country. The company is looking for dynamic, self-motivated, and high-performing individuals above position:
∎ Bogura Satellite Plant, Sujabad, Bogura
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage safety and occupational health programs in compliance with standards and requirements to assure safety, healthy, and efficient operations.
∎ Prepare all safety standards, policies, reports & documentation regarding fire safety issues including fire evacuation plans and procedures.
∎ To ensure In-house fire training for Firefighters, Rescuers, new employees, and security personnel.
∎ Conduct daily Tool Box Talk, and monthly Fire & Emergency evacuation drills per the program to inform all workers & staff.
∎ Evaluate the worksite to identify workplace hazards and take preventive measures accordingly
∎ Handle safety assessments and deploy corrective measures to minimize hazard risk profile.
∎ Must be familiar with NFPA, Bangladesh Labor Laws & Rules, ILO, BNBC, and other safety standards
∎ Ensure internal and external audit-related documents and reports.
∎ Investigate accidents, determine root cause and recommend corrective actions necessary
∎ Identify and correct potential hazards by inspecting facilities, machinery, and safety equipment
∎ Evaluate the effectiveness of various industrial control mechanisms
∎ Review employee safety programs and recommend improvements
∎ Support HSE inspections, audits, and self-assessments.
∎ Manage reports and present summaries to management with suggested solutions.
∎ Execute environmental management processes such as chemicals and waste management and pollution prevention.
∎ Handle industrial hygiene, equipment protection, machine guarding, and other health and safety programs.
∎ Should perform some additional responsibilities as like control room operation
∎ Any other responsibilities assigned by the management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Must have good knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint & MS Word.
∎ Should have sound communication and interpersonal skill both in Bangla and English.
∎ Certification/Training in relevant fields will be an added advantage.
