Responsibilities & Context:

HR Compliance & Payroll Manager (Factory) | Chattogram | Full-time (On-site)

We are hiring an HR Compliance & Payroll Manager to lead factory payroll, attendance, and compliance documentation. This role will ensure salary sheets, overtime, employee files, and audit documents are accurate, complete, and always ready for buyer/compliance inspections. The position reports directly to the Director.

Key responsibilities

  • End-to-end monthly payroll processing for management staff and workers (salary/wages, overtime, allowances, bonuses, deductions, final settlements).

  • Daily attendance monitoring and reconciliation across shifts; maintain clean attendance reports and supporting records.

  • Overtime (OT) calculation, verification, and documentation based on attendance/production logs; ensure compliance with labor law limits and company policy.

  • Maintain updated wage structure and implement minimum wage changes when required.

  • Maintain complete employee documentation and files (joining documents, appointment letters, leave records, disciplinary records, separation and settlement files).

  • Keep HR/payroll/compliance files audit-ready; respond to document requests during compliance and social audits (e.g., BSCI/SEDEX/WRAP/SMETA-type audits where applicable).

  • Prepare and issue HR letters and certificates (employment/service/experience/NOC) and maintain proper control logs.

  • Coordinate with Accounts/Finance, Production, and Management to ensure payroll accuracy and timely disbursement.

  • Handle payroll and attendance-related employee queries professionally and confidentially.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of experience in HR compliance and payroll in a factory/manufacturing environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of Bangladesh labor law and compliance documentation.

  • Strong MS Excel and MS Word skills; experience with HRIS/ERP/payroll software is a plus.

  • Good communication skills in Bangla and English.

  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and ability to work under deadlines.
