∎ B.U.M.S (Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery)
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To be an expert in the scientific and traditional evidence of our ingredients.
∎ Grow, prepare and produce herbal medicines in some cases.
∎ Take responsibility for all internal Safety Reviews.
∎ Assist QC with phytochemical interpretation, when required.
∎ Work with the commercial teams to explore and optimize the success and commercial value of our herbal formulas.
∎ Knowledge of interpreting and implementing clinical research.
∎ Strong project management skills.
∎ Support all the technical herbal aspects of R&D and New Product Development.
∎ Manage the technical research and delivery of dossiers for substantiation of food, traditional and medicinal use as well as country specific licensing.
∎ Good knowledge of pharmacognosy including botanical identification, physical assay including HPTLC, HPLC, GC-MS, NMR
∎ Up-to-date knowledge of current medical practices, epidemiology and drug-herb safety issues Experience of pharmacovigilance and pharmacopoeial monographs
∎ Ideally Experience of the Traditional Herbal Medicinal Product Directive and other national herbal legislation.
∎ Knowledge of current medicines and food supplement legislation.
∎ Good knowledge of the broader context of the environmental movement, especially organic agriculture, fairtrade, fairwild.
∎ Understanding of quality systems including the principles of GACP and GMP
∎ Ability to effectively manage, prioritize and deliver workload in a fast paced commercial environment.
∎ Able to discern the most effective solution for delivering herbal expertise.
∎ Natural tendency to work collaboratively and purposefully across departments.
∎ Acumen in relating technical data to commercial outcomes and being able to influence on a both technical and commercial level to optimize decision making
∎ Efficient research methodology experience.
∎ Excellent standard of writing - accurate and creative to suit a broad range of audience understanding, from professional to lay, including excellent academic and report writing skills.
∎ Authoritative communicator with an ability to explain complex subject matter to the non-technical and to interpret legal information simply.
∎ Ability to assimilate new knowledge quickly.
∎ Translating complex subject matter into something interesting and memorable
∎ Ability and confidence to design and deliver engaging learning experiences via different mediums
∎ A high level of emotional maturity and resilience
∎ Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills
∎ Work to high ethical and professional standards
∎ Proficient in navigating computer systems, including Microsoft office.
